WREN Music has announced its line-up for this weekend's Okehampton Festival.
The event starts at 10am in St James Street with young singers from Okehampton Primary joining members of Wren Music adult choirs and song leaders to present a special programme of songs, including an open workshop for all run by Sarah Owen.
Red Lion Yard plays host to the Okehampton Excelsior Silver Band and the FOOTsteps dance school will perform outside Fairplace Church.
Lunchtime sessions start around noon, with music in selected pubs and an open mic session with a specially created performance area at the end of St James Street.
During the afternoon, members of Wren Orchestras will join Paul Wilson and David Faulkner to stage a flash mob ceilidh between 2pm and 4pm.
Fresh from Glastonbury, renowned mandolin virtuoso Marc Woodward will perform an acoustic blues folk mandolin concert in Fairplace Church at 7.30pm. During the day, Marc will be working with the Mandolin Orchestra of Devon. The orchestra will then open the evening concert and accompany Marc on one of his own pieces.
