GRANTED Tavistock has got to tighten its belt, but why does it have to be at the expense of Meadowlands and the Harewood Day Centre, both of which fill a real need, not only for the actual users but often their relatives too. How about abolishing the borough council, what do they do that Tavistock Town Council couldn't do just as well? Do other towns have two councils? Wouldn't it be fun to have a vote on it?
