A one-day workshop aimed at giving young musicians the chance to play in an ensemble will be held at Walkhampton Memorial Hall on October 25. The half-term brass and woodwind workshop will be run by music theory teachers David Gray and Jenni Martin, who both have experience of conducting bands. The course, from 10am to 4pm, will consist of a day playing new music that will be performed in a concert in the afternoon. The workshop is designed to be of a standard that will help musicians improve their sight reading and playing skills. It is aimed at schoolchildren of beginner to intermediate leveil and is open to any age group. The cost is £15 and more details are available from David Gray on 01822 853570.
