A NEW housing scheme which will provide affordable homes for local people who live, work or have family in the Bere Peninsula is well underway in Bere Alston.

The developers were granted planning permission in February following an appeal to the planning inspectorate. 

Bibio, who are the developers for the scheme, are working in partnership with the Hastoe Group to deliver the much needed homes.

The high quality scheme will provide 15 rented homes and two shared ownership properties on Woolacombe Road in Bere Alston.

West Devon Borough Council, through their outreach service, will be on hand at the Saturday Market in the Parish Hall on Saturday, November 8 from 10am until 1pm with plans of the new development. 

Anyone who is interested in the properties which are due to be completed in the New Year are asked to come along to register their interest and to ensure that they are registered on the Devon Home Choice system.
