A WONDERFUL Christmas Craft Fair awaits visitors to Chagford Jubilee Hall next weekend. This is the fourth year of Wonderworks and 23 arts and craft exhibitors from all over the South West will be coming to Chagford to take part. Among the textiles to see will be Jenny Hutchison's exquisite quilts, Yuli Somme's felt wall hangings and accessories, dramatic fashions by Paula Clegg and Eloise Sentito dramatic fashions, and wallhangings, bags and cushions created by Kate Halliday and Sarah Nicols. Ceramics and glass prove popular, and included among the wide range of exhibitors are bright and stylish domestic pottery by Jane Wellens, Tessa Rubbra, Pauline Zelinski, Abigail North and Virginia Richards and decorative, sculptural pieces by Pauline Lee and Sylvia Croxen. A diverse range of jewellery includes handcrafted silver and precious metals by Anne Farag, Karina Gill and Ann Powell, glass hangings and jewellery by Sylvie Nicholls and Arabella Marshall, Stephanie Buddle's hand-tinted resins, Sheila Churchill's necklaces and bracelets made from pebbles combined with semi-precious stones, and Julia Vella's bold felt and wood beads. Chris Waters brings contemporary furniture and Jill Farrow hand-made books. Wonderworks gets underway at 10am on Saturday, November 18. The fair runs until 5pm on Saturday and on Sunday, November 19.
