THIS was a game Okehampton should have won — they were the better side, particularly in the first half, with slicker passing and good teamwork.

Liz Mackay, Elaine Morgan and Carol Chapman were solid in defence and Chudleigh created little opportunity to score.

Sue Stanbury played well in the centre of the pitch to create scoring chances for the forwards.

Unfortunately, Columbines were unable to capitalise on their opportunities and were rocked early in the second half when Chudleigh in a rare attack took the lead.

Jo Moppett at centre forward gamely chased the ball and was unlucky to see good efforts go wide of the Chudleigh goal.

With Okehampton pushing forward for a much-needed goal, Chudleigh had chances on the break and ran out 3-0 winners.
