WEST Devon Women in Rural Enterprise (Devon Live Wires) is planning a networking supper with a workshop/talk on 'Marketing Campaign Planning' as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 — the nation's largest entrepreneurship-focused campaign.

The meeting will take place on November, 18 at 7.30pm at the Fox and Hounds Hotel, Lydford.

Global Entrepreneurship Week runs from November 18 to 24 and will be encouraging current and aspiring entrepreneurs to take a step forward in their plans — whether that's starting a business, seizing a new opportunity or finding out more about careers in enterprise.

This year the campaign aims to reach thousands more, through offering local and practical events that can inspire and educate people about what support is available to entrepreneurs in Devon and across the UK.

Wire (Women in Rural Enterprise) is an organisation for women in business, connecting like-minded women to do business, share skills and expertise, and find support.

It is unique in its approach to networking and invaluable to all rural women in business, from the 'one women' band or growing business, to those who have a new business or planning to start one.

Andrew Devenport, Youth Business International chief executive and GEW UK host, called for more people to get involved in the Week, he said: 'Setting up a business is a great employment opportunity for many people who have the talent, but lack the means or the confidence to progress their ideas.

'I would encourage anyone with a business or business idea to participate in Global Entrepreneurship Week and find out what support is available to help them take a step forward.

'By helping people to help themselves, we are equipping the next generation of entrepreneurs to make a valuable contribution to both the economy and society.'
