A WOMAN was taken to hospital with suspected neck and spinal injuries following an accident which blocked Tavistock?s Crowndale Road on Monday morning. The accident occurred at approximately 8.40am, when a red Seat Ibiza was in collision with a recycling pick-up truck near the Hartshole junction. Police and ambulance personnel attended the incident, and fire appliances from Bere Alston and Tavistock were also summoned to help release the woman driver of the car as she had suspected neck and spinal injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Derriford Hospital. The child passenger in the car was uninjured, as were the occupants of the pick-up truck. The road was blocked for approximately one and a half hours.
