IN a major coup for The Wharf, chart rockers Wolf Alice will stop off in Tavistock on Tuesday, August 22 as part of a small UK venue tour.
The show at the Wharf follows a month-long sell-out tour of the United States. The Tavistock show followed suit, with tickets having sold out in just three minutes.
The group follow a busy summer with a European tour this autumn, including their biggest headline show to date at the iconic Alexandra Palace in London. They have also been invited by Glastonbury headliners Foo Fighters to play their new one-day event CalJam in California.
Their new album Visions of a Life will be released on September 29. The album is a follow up to 2014 debut My Love is Cool, which peaked at number 2 in the UK album charts. The group has already released two singles from their sophomore effort, Yuk Foo and Don’t Delete the Kisses.
The foursome alt-rock band from north London originally formed as a duo but is now comprised of Elle Rowsell on vocals and guitar, Joff Oddie on guitar and vocals, Theo Ellis on bass and Joel Amey on drums and vocals.
It promises to be a memorable night for those fortunate enough to have nabbed themselves tickets for the event.
