The 31-year-old driver of a Suzuki jeep, from Par, also suffered a fractured collar bone in the incident and his 30-year-old wife had a broken rib. Both were taken to Derriford by ambulance. Other casualties were treated at the roadside for minor whiplash and seat-belt injuries. Two fire crews from Okehampton, one crew from Holsworthy and one from Launceston attended the incident, along with paramedics and police officers. One carriageway of the A30 was re-opened by 5.15pm although it took another two hours for the road to be cleared and opened in its entirety.
