A PERFORMANCE by the Junior Plough Youth Theatre will offer guests the chance to enjoy a real winter warmer full of song, dance and drama, when it performs this month.

The 55-strong company of 8 to 12 year olds, who are based in Black Torrington, will be celebrating all things Christmas when they perform the devised piece of theatre, Festivity.

Youth Theatre director of the Plough, Rob Pudner, said: 'Christmas came early to the Plough this year.

'We started working on this piece in September and it was rather strange practising White Christmas in the auditorium when people outside were still enjoying the last of the sunshine.

'The youngsters have once again had wonderful guidance, support and coaching from the rest of the creative team.

'There is something for everyone in this production whatever Christmas means to them with its heady mix of drama, singing, poetry and dance and Christmas goodies for everyone.

'I can promise that after the show both the young and the old will leave the arts centre with big smiles on their faces, a spring in their step and certainly feeling in the mood for the festivities that lie ahead.'

The performance will take place on Thursday, December 10, Friday, December 11 and Sat, December 12, with a matinee at 3pm and 7pm at the Plough Arts Centre in Great Torrington.
