THE Mount House U13s girls' cricket team gave a solid debut performance at home to St Peter's Lympstone in a pairs format game.
Putting the visitors in to bat first, Mount House captain Emma Jackman and Lucy Walliker tied the St Michael's early batters down, and took 2 for 2 and 1-7 respectively in the St Peter's total of 251.
In reply Mount House's Jackman (14), Walliker (10) and Lizzie Fearnley (13) helped them to a total of 257, and record a good win.
The icing on the cake came soon after the match, with the announcement that Emma Jackman and Lucy Walliker have both been selected to represent Devon against Gloucestershire at Hatherleigh.
