A WINNING shot by West Devon Borough Council employee Keith Palmer will take centre stage at a photo exhibition on display in Tavistock this week. Keith, who works for the council?s planning department, won the over 18s category in this year?s Tamar Valley Tourism Association (TAVATA) photo competition. His picture of Calstock Viaduct will be on show along with other winning entries at the council?s offices in Kilworthy Park, Tavistock, until tomorrow (Friday). Announcing the theme for next year?s competition, Brian Howlett of TAVATA said he was delighted at the level of interest shown by budding photographers of all ages. ?We had a fantastic response this year and I would encourage anyone with an interest in photography to enter. ?Next year?s theme is Activities in the Tamar Valley. This is a real opportunity to capture images of the people of the area, whether at work or leisure, enjoying themselves on the river, in the countryside or in the towns and villages,? said Brian. The three categories are under 12s, 12 to 18s and over 18s. Contact Brain direct [email protected]">[email protected] / 01579 370292 for an entry form.
