Bodmin Trophies Duchy Premier League Lamerton 2 Pensilva 0 LAMERTON contested a hard fought game with only eleven players and no sub against an organized Pensilva side ? and came out winners in the end. The action came in the second half when, after ten minutes, the one quality move of the game saw Zac Beesley drift past defenders to the right edge of the box before curling a superb cross in for Pete Broomfield to head in just under the crossbar. That enabled Lamerton to relax somewhat and with James Healy covering acres in midfield they began to use the widths of the pitch and the Pensilva defence became stretched. With Will Cann and Steve Gibbings down the right and Ben Rushall and Panda Williams all creating openings a second goal looked on the cards but it came in a soft way. A back pass to the Pensilva keeper looked no danger but Broomfield chased down the lost cause and the ensuing clearence hit him, rebounding to Rushall who stroked the ball into an empty net, thereby sealing the game for the home side.
