TWO members of Sampford Courtenay Flower Club have won prizes at 'Synergy' — the annual show for the Devon and Cornwall area of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies. This was the first year the club had entered competitions at the show, held in Newquay on April 18 and 19. Jill Wilson and Celia Broughton were commended in the 'Absolutely Fabulous' class, and Celia also won second prize in the 'Elegance' novice class. The Sampford Courtenay Flower Club meets on the second Monday of the month. 'We're a very active group, with nearly 40 members,' Jill said. At their next meeting on May 14, they will be visiting a garden in Belstone, and on Saturday May 19 they will be holding a coffee morning and plant sale at the school rooms in Sampford Courtenay.
