I TAKE my hat off to Mr Chichester MEP (Letters, February 16) it's nice to finally see a member of the Government not afraid to speak out about the money scam that is wind turbines.

You may or may not be aware that an appeal has been lodged against the wise decision of West Devon Borough Council to refuse a wind turbine on a site close to the already refused Yelland site, but I urge anyone interested in preserving this part of West Devon to ask for this appeal to be heard by informal hearing rather than written representation, to ensure thorough consideration is given to the huge impact this would have on our community.
