IT was interesting to read on the front page in last week?s Times about Devon County Council?s campaign to cut motorcycle fatalities on the A386. I was driving along this stretch of road just days after the new signs had been put up and was overtaken on two separate occasions on the same journey between Okehampton and Tavistock, by a motorcycle going above the speed limit of 40mph, in Vale Down and Mary Tavy. Each biker overtook me beside the new yellow and black signs warning drivers about motorbikes. I welcome these signs, but will they make any difference? Paul Rendell Okehampton
