PEOPLE with an interest in the Tamar Valley are being encouraged to consider becoming a Valley Volunteer.

People can find out the benefits of becoming a volunteer in the valley, working with not just the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team, but also the Tamar Community Trust and Friends of the Tamar Valley, helping to keep the valley special.

A drop-in day has been organised as part of this year's Tamar Trail Festival, on Sunday October 27, where staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Visit the Tamar Trails Centre in Gulworthy between 11am and 3pm.

There will also be the chance to try out some of the practical tasks that the group are looking for help with, for which appropriate clothing and footwear should be worn.
