MORE than four tonnes of rubbish were collected overnight in Tavistock following the Goose Fair festivities.
A further tonne and a half was collected after the fair moved out at the end of the week. A 24-strong team of West Devon Borough Council contract workers moved in to clean up the town after the main fair day celebrations, completing the task by six o?clock the following morning.
Bedford car park was cleaned up on Monday morning and a team of three collected 1.4 tonnes of general waste.
