WITH torrential rain forecast it was off to Plymouth Hoe for the annual half-marathon road race for members from both Tavistock Athletic and Bere Alston Trekkers (BATs). The field this year was increased to 5,000 and with the rain holding off it made for perfect conditions with runners making their way around the Barbican, up through Saltram and back for a hill finish to the Hoe.
