A SEVEN-strong staff team from local company Amano Technologies recently joined members of ROC Welcome Tavistock, a social club for people with learning disabilities, for an evening of pub skittles at the Tavy Club.
Debbie Newcombe, ROC's acting co-ordinator said it was a real pleasure for the club members and volunteers to meet Graham and his colleagues from Amano.
'Support and interest of this kind are really valued by ROC. Everyone enjoyed themselves; the Amano team gave the evening a real buzz,' said Debbie.
Graham Coiley, business director from Amano Technologies, said: 'We had a great time with ROC. It was great fun and a pleasure to meet people from ROC.
'However, I was less impressed with the quality of playing from the Amano skittle players. We plan to do some fundraising for ROC in the near future.'
Debbie said: 'ROC would be delighted to hear from other groups who want to take part in a joint activity and find out about the many ways they can get involved with ROC Welcome Tavistock.'
