I WONDER if you might be able to help. I am trying to trace some relatives who I know were in the Tavistock area until about five years ago.
A gentleman by the name of John Hawkes-Smith worked in a shop in the town, which my parents-in-law visited over 40 years ago. John had a daughter, Carol, who was bridesmaid at my in-law's wedding over 50 years ago when she was a child. They would love to hear from Carol and remember that day together.
If there is any way you might be able to publish this letter along with my email address I would be delighted to hear from anyone who might have a lead to where they are now.
