A NEW exhibition at Cotehele House during September and October has been inspired by the property?s collection of historical tapestries. ?Threads? will run from September 9 to October 28 and will trace the weaver?s art from ancient Egypt to the present day, and will include activities to interest everyone, including children. There will be workshops, tours and talks and opportunities to help weave a tapestry and spin wool. Tapestries will be on sale and will include the launch of digitally scanned tapestries from the originals in the house. Some of the country?s top spinners and weavers will be taking part.
