I WOULD like to take this opportunity to apologise to the readers of the Okehampton Times for the recent unseemly altercation between members of my family in your letters page. My father, Jim Goodwin, is recognised far and wide as a ?grumpy old man?. My brother, Dave, is a known Bolshevik sympathiser with an opinion on everything, regularly imposing himself on the Times readership. I return to Devon most weekends from my captivity in London only to suffer public chastisement over the behaviour of my family. I have asked them to grow up and cease hostilities. For my part, my only vice at present is to be a member of the Liberal Democrats . . . Jonathan Goodwin Up London Way
