IF you have a question for West Devon Borough Council, the council is anxious to help.
The council wants local people to understand the wide variety of the problems it has to deal with. Chairman of the policy committee, Cllr Peter Hill, said councillors wanted to give the people of West Devon good service.
'Anything which helps the public to understand how the council operates is to all our benefit. We are not remote and unfeeling. We want to know what local people are concerned about and how we can work together,' he said.
Local electors can send a question on a local issue in writing to the chief executive, David Incoll, at the council offices in Tavistock at least two days before the relevant meeting. They can then attend the meeting to put their question and hear an answer.
Council committee secretary Wendy Cooper will advise on which meeting will deal with the issue in question — just call 01822 813600.
