A GENTLE evening stroll learning about the coastal and hedgerow flora and fauna has been organised on the Bere peninsula tonight (Thursday), led by local botanist and conservationist Martin Summers.

The spring flower walk will leave the Plough at Bere Ferrers at 6.45pm and will take in the man-made marsh on the recreation field. The going will be wet in some places, including some road and riverside walking. All are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, no dogs are permitted.

The walk should finish at around 9pm at the pub. There is no charge but places are limited. To book, call Tamar Valley Service on 01822 610676.
