Walkham Valley v Cuckoos
WALKHAM Valley Cricket Club played host to the Cuckoos at their Walkhampton pitch last Thursday. Having won the toss, Walkham elected to bat first and on an excellent wicket, which gave no help to the bowlers, amassed a total of 121 for 7 off the allotted 20 overs. Peers and Berry were the top batsmen, both retiring after scoring over 25 runs each.
The Cuckoos put up a brave fight and finished with a total of 104 runs with Drew and Dawe their top scorers, both retiring with over 25 runs. They lost only two wickets, Berry bowling out Brightwell and Jowett run out after a mix up between the batsmen.
Man of the match was Peers with his 26 not out and only conceding 3 runs in his two overs.
A win for Walkham.
