DARTMOOR Challenge Group recently presented the charity CLIC with a cheque for £15,015.19. Ninety walkers took part in a sponsored walk on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday May 1, to raise money for the charity which looks after children who suffer from cancer or leukaemia. The walk went from Shipley Bridge to Horrabridge over two days, with everyone climbing eleven tors and walking 33.5 miles. The prize money was presented to Beverly Bell, fundraising manager of the SouthWest branch of CLIC, who said she was ?overwhelmed by the magnificent amount raised?.
