DARTMOOR Preservation Association is inviting people on a walk up the Walkham valley from Merrivale Quarry, taking in a wealth of archaeological features covering 5,000 years of history.
The walk will visit a 19th century stone working, an excavated tin mine, a Bronze Age village and an early prehistoric enclosure. This six to seven mile walk starts at 10am on Sunday, October 17. Meet at Staple Tor car park. For more information, contact John Watson on 01822 614855.
