WEST Devon residents are invited to take part in a family walk in aid of Children's Hospice South West next month. The Bond Pearce walk will take place on the Flete Estate, near Holbeton, on Sunday, April 20 from 10.30am to 3pm. The two routes available comprise of either a short beach and rock pool walk or a seven mile walk around the carriage drives of the Flete Estate, an area normally closed off to the public. In addition to these routes, CHSW will be laying on family-oriented entertainment which begins at noon in the car park field, including a barbecue, cream teas, ice creams, bouncy castle, a beachcomber hunt, and live music. Participants can either make an individual contribution for participating, a minimum of £10 for adults and £5 for children, think of an inventive and challenging way to undertake the route, or run it, and ask friends and relatives for sponsorship.
