THREE charity walks took place around Burrator Reservoir area recently to raise funds for the Tavistock Triangle cancer support centre.
The walks covering three, five, or eight miles, which started from the quarry car park, were enjoyed by 59 walkers, each with an experienced leader, and ended up in a lovely cottage garden in Sheepstor.
The walkers came from as far apart as Bath, Yeovil and North Cornwall.
In Sheepstor the walkers were given a ploughman's lunch, and could buy a cream tea or cake and tea.
Some of the walkers then enjoyed an informative guided tour of the village.
The considerable effort that went into organising the event was rewarded with just over £700 being raised for the charity.
