ASSISTANT conservation officer for South West Lakes Trust Jen Gardner will lead a bird watching walk for beginners at Burrator on Saturday (May 28.)

The two-hour walk starts at 5.30am and walkers are asked to meet at Burrator lodge in the workshop car park. It will be followed by an optional breakfast for the price of £3, which must be booked as only ten places are available — 01566 771930.

Suitable clothing and shoes are required as there may be wet and rough terrain. Please, no dogs on this occasion. The walk will be cancelled in the event of rain.

Participants will identify birds by sight and song; most resident birds have paired off and possibly some of their offspring will be spotted.
