ENTHUSIASTIC walkers are invited to follow the Lych Way Walk, along ?the Way of the Dead, on Sunday, September 18. The event, which is in its seventh year, is organised by Dartmoor Search and Rescue team from Plymouth, and follows the route traditionally used to carry coffins, for up to 16 miles, to Lydford Parish for burial; along the Bellever to Lydford route. The Search and Rescue team will also be hosting a residential Moorland Skills weekend on November 19 and 20. The weekend will specialise in offering walkers more knowledge in how to walk the moors and remote areas in safety.
