TWO charities are to benefit from a record amount raised by the Devon Vintage Car Club. The club, which has been going for nearly 40 years and has around 175 members throughout Devon, will donate a total of £3,000 to be shared equally between the charity SENSE for blind and deaf people and Motor Neurone Disease Research. Chairperson of the club Mary Thorns expressed thanks to everyone who had supported the club at its two Hatherleigh autojumbles and other events during the year. Dartmoor Search and Rescue (Okehampton branch) and the Alzheimer?s Association Devon are the chosen charities for the coming year. Last year the club was able to donate £2,000 to the Devon Air Ambulance.
