DETAILS of the proposed improvement at the Merrymeet Roundabout on the A30 can be viewed and discussed at an open day to be held next Thursday.
A Highways Agency spokesman said the aim of the project was to improve safety by reducing the number and severity of accidents and overcome congestion on the road.
Local residents are invited to attend and discuss details of the proposed improvement with representatives of the agency and their consultants.
Project sponsor David Radway said they would like people to come along so they could explain the study and outline the major issues. 'The opinions of local people and interested parties are important in taking the scheme forward,' he said.
The results of the study, together with the those of another analysis, will help ministers decide whether an improvement scheme should go forward.
The open day will be held at Whiddon Down Village Hall on Thursday, January 24 from noon to 8pm.
