DEVON County Council has launched a major new service aimed at reducing the number of cars on the roads, cutting pollution, saving money and protecting the environment.

http://www.carsharedevon.com">www.carsharedevon.com is a brand new website which will provide users with a county-wide database of potential car sharers.

The service is free to use, and will put people travelling in the same direction or to a similar destination in contact with each other, so they can arrange to travel together, sharing the costs.

Larger employers and interest groups, such as district councils and hospitals, can use the service to set up private groups.
