DETERMINED walkers trekked for hours in the first Tamar Valley Discovery Trail Challenge recently.
The fastest walkers managed to complete the walk from Tamerton Foliot to Lifton along the Tamar Valley Discovery Trail in 10 and a half hours, while the longest took 13 and a half, all raising money for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.
Organisers at the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty expressed thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their day to help check-in and keep track of all walkers, Ginsters for the pasties, Dartmoor Pure Water for the water supplied throughout the trail and Mike Hooton for ferrying all walkers across the river at Calstock so they could continue their walk.
If anyone still has sponsorship money from the event, please pass it into Becki Lumbis at the Tamar Valley AONB office, where it will be recorded and sent off.
Anyone who has any photos or feedback from the day they would like to share can upload them onto the Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/tvaonb">www.facebook.com/tvaonb
