LOCAL produce from the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) featured in a joint exhibit at the Royal Cornwall Show this month.

The Tamar Valley AONB teamed up with two other AONBs from Cornwall to produce the display of cheese, chocolate, jams and fresh fruit ? and heighten awareness of of their designation.

Charlotte Maunder from Tamar Valley AONB said: ?I am delighted with the amount of interest generated on the stand over the three days. We have managed to heighten awareness of AONBs and why we exist and have received a great response from the public as to why we should continue to protect and enhance the areas we cherish so much.?

Visitors to the stand were asked to complete a simple questionnaire on conservation of landscapes, from which it emerged that most people believed the countryside should be protected from further development.
