HELIUM-filled balloons will take to the air on Monday when West Devon and Torridge MP John Burnett launches a new website to boost tourism.

Mr Burnett will be at Knole Farm, Bridestowe, to show support for Dartmoor and West Devon Farm Accommodation, a group of ten working farms offering quality holiday bases. They include small B&Bs and self-catering cottages.

Mr Burnett said: 'This is quite simply the cream of West Devon and a marvellous initiative to promote tourism in our area.'

The ceremony will also be attended by Devon County Council chairman Cllr Mary Strudwick, West Devon mayor Richard Phillips, and representatives of South West Tourism, Devon Tourism and West Devon Council.

Dartmoor and West Devon Farm Accommodation was formed 14 years ago to publicise the area as an ideal base for touring Devon and Cornwall.

The ten farms are Knole, Little Bidlake and Week at Bridestowe, Henford Barton at Ashwater, Frankaborough at Broadwoodwidger, Colcharton, Hele and Rubbytown at Gulworthy, New Court at Lamerton and Beera at Milton Abbot.
