A SPECTACULAR evening of magic, comedy and burlesque is planned for Okehampton to raise money for this year’s Battle of the Bands event.

The Rogues Gallery and Exe Burlesque will present the Rogues Gallery on Tour at the Charter Hall on Friday, February 24, bringing a modern twist and a hint of darkness to the Victorian vaudeville era.

As well as burlesque dancers in lavish costume, there will also be the award-winning magician and mind reader Mark Lobb, who has been hailed as the next Derren Brown, and special guest Richard James.

Mark Smith of the Plymouth Inn, which is organising the bar for the evening, said this was a great chance to support the Battle of Bands competition, which was always a great highlight of the Okehampton events calendar

‘If the Rogues Gallery on Tour event goes well we hope it will become an annual one,’ he said.
