THE annual Iddesleigh Parish Walk takes place on Sunday August 28.

It will start at Nethercott House, and follow a circular route on to the point where the Ockment and Torridge rivers join, before returning to Nethercott for a cream tea and refreshments.

The walk offers a unique chance to walk along private land not usually open to walkers. It will be no longer than four miles, and should last around two hours.

If you are interested in walking, be at Nethercott promptly for a 2pm start. The walk costs £5 for adults and £2 for children to include a cream tea.

Sensible footwear is advised. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. For more information call John or Sue on 01805 804347.
