Crescent 1 Northlew 0 NORTHLEW were away to Crescent who were four points above them in the league. Northlew started fairly positively but within ten minutes seemed to slow down and allow their opponents too much time and space. On the half hour Crescent took the lead when their striker was left unmarked on a corner and had a free head to make it 1-0. Northlew came out a different team after a few stiff words at half time, and started to show their form of last season. They dominated the second half creating several chances, but unfortunately they could not finish them. The hopeful return of forwards Sandford (broken ribs) and Griffiths (eye injury) next week at home to Culm United, will give a extra lift to the team.
