READING the letter (October 29) from Mr Rushbrooke, concerning his confrontation with smokers at Derriford 'naturally I challenged

them . . . '

I do despair, occasionally, at the attitude of some people. What right does Mr Rushbrooke think he has to order other people about? Presumably he thinks he is a 'concerned citizen'.

Bullying is frowned upon in our society now, however, there is one group that can still be discriminated against, looked down upon and pushed around with impunity. Regrettably, most smokers cannot stop so the 'holier than thou' brigade can look forward to throwing their weight around for the foreseeable future. But they shouldn't.
