TWO air cadets have completed the final stages of their training to become instructor cadets.
Luke Turon and Daniel Reid, both from Callington, have been Air Cadets for three and a half years. During that time they have taken part in all the activities the cadets offer, flying in gliders and powered aircraft, attending annual camp, shooting with small and full bore rifles, drill and sport.
Both are now working towards their Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award. They have passed examinations in propulsion, air and pilot navigation and air frames.
The cadets had to attend a weekend course on method of instruction then give an assessed lesson before receiving their certificate and yellow lanyard denoting Instructor Cadet.
Commanding Officer John Olver said: 'Both these lads have done well and they are a fine example to our younger cadets. I hope they will now help the staff organise and run activities at our HQ.'
