WEST Devon environmental charity South West Lakes Trust will be holding a free taster day to demonstrate training programmes available through their recently launched Green Bridge Project.
The day will take place at Roadford Lake Watersports Centre between 10.30am and 3.30pm tomorrow (Friday) and will involve demonstrations of power boating, sailing and use of equipment such as wood chippers and tractors.
The project, which is funded by the Learning and Skills Council through the European Social Fund, is aimed at the unemployed, school leavers and people wishing to return to work.
It provides free, flexible learning programmes leading to national qualifications in countryside management and watersports instruction.
The learning programmes are free to all who qualify and one-to-one tuition is provided where necessary.
