DURING December visitors of Buckland Abbey, Castle Drogo, Cotehele and Lanhydrock will be taken back to a more traditional Christmas time. The National Trust's Buckland Abbey Georgian staircase is decorated with a 40-metre garland, fragrant with the scent of dried oranges, Castle Drogo steps back to the 1930s, Cotehele features a Christmas Garland which runs the length of the Great Hall, and at Lanhydrock visitors can experience a traditional Victorian Christmas. Many of the restaurants at National Trust homes and gardens are offering traditional Christmas lunches and teas.
