CREATED to promote public interest in the National Trust and generally support its conservation interests the National Trust West Devon Association is keen to welcome new members. The association arranges social events and outings to NT and other properties and venues and makes occasional donations to the trust. Outings by coach in the past have included Knighthayes Court; Tiverton canal horse-drawn barge; Haynes Motor Museum and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Talks have included David Mudd ? My Life as an MP; Dr Alston Kennerley, ?The History of Navigation?; Don and Norma Robinson ?Kalkotta (Calcutta) and ?Beyond the Clouds? an illustrated talk about their epic journey through the Himalayas. This year?s programme includes visits to Tintinhull Gardens and the Fleet Air Arm Museum; a Jurassic Coast boat trip from Exmouth; Hestercombe Gardens; The Met Office at Exeter and Westonbirt National Arboretum.
