Tavistock U9s 0 Kingsbridge U9s 35 Tavistock U9s 35 Kingsbridge U9s 5 TAVISTOCK showed true grit at Kingsbridge to end with honours even. They completed their return fixture away at Kingsbridge and repeated the result from earlier in the season by inflicting on Kingsbridge only their second defeat of the season, the first coming in the game at Tavistock in November. In the first game Kingsbridge played excellent rugby, passing along the back line but also enjoyed the bounce of the ball and the odd decision so that the scoreboard hardly reflected the close fought reality of the game. Kingsbridge took an unassailable lead in spite of committed defending from David Lloyd-Graeme, Matthew Dobie and Zak Brinkhurst. In spite of Kingsbridge?s ascendancy, Tavistock never gave up the fight as Daniel Dobie and Bradley Hosking went close after some impressive runs. In the second game Tavistock were a completely different team and player of the match Charlie Charlton led from the front, crossing for three tries with some bulldozing runs. George Carter and Kris Chapman stiffened the defence with robust tackling and Tavistock found themselves playing all the rugby with Chapman unlucky not to be awarded a try after an excellent run by Dominic Hosking. William Slater and Hosking crossed the line after excellent work from Tom Jackman at scrum half and Adam Billington in the centre. With Alex Ferguson and Jed Coiley winning their spurs for Tavistock with good all round displays, the day ended with the spoils shared between two excellent teams.
