YELVERTON Bowling Club held its annual dinner and prizegiving at the Tavistock Golf Club on Friday when 60 members and friends attended.

The trophies were presented by the president and prizewinners were: Club champion, Roger Ley; runner-up, Henry Towl. Ladies? champion, Val Edwards; runner-up, Joan Price. Men?s champion, Ron Hunter; runner-up, Michael Brain. Govier Cup, four wood singles, winner, Liz Broughton; runner-up, Keith Edwards. Centre Sports two wood singles, winner, Dennis Smith; runner-up, Phyllis Hellier. Jean Terry Cup, mixed pairs, winners, Kate Johnston and David Rugg; runners-up Thelma Ley and Ron Hunter. Hamley Shield, pairs, winners, June Brain and Gwen Dean; runners-up, Val Edwards and Jos Jones.
