A TAVISTOCK family have secured a unique hat-trick after three children all won the same school cup.

Sorrel Jones was the latest member of the clan to win the Amey Building Ltd Cup for Endeavour awarded by Tavistock Primary School, when she was chosen as this year's recipient. She follows in the footsteps of older brother Troy who won the cup in 1997, and sister Autumn who won the same endeavour cup two years later.

The endeavour cup is awarded to a pupil who works hard and always tries their best.

Sorrel has just completed year five at the primary school, her older brother and sister both won the cup when they were in year six, the final year before moving on to secondary school.

Mum Avis Jones said she was very proud of her children's achievement, and she had cleared a familiar place on the mantelpiece for the cup, which has been in the Jones' household for three of the last six years.

With Sorrel being the youngest child, the Jones' remarkable run of success in the school awards looks set to come to an end when Sorrel leaves Tavistock Primary next summer.
